Mounting is an economical alternate option to photo frames for enhancing and displaying your artwork, memorabilia, and photographs. The work is mounted on a rigid support like MDF, HDF, foam core, or mighty core. The edges of the board are beveled and painted just ready to hang. Mounting can be any one of these types - Block Mounting, Float Mounting, or a Flush Mounting. Currently, Block Mounting Melbourne has been catching on and has grown popular creating a contemporary, lovely, and classy framing.

Benefits of these types of mountings are that your art piece or photograph is protected from - the front by application of Non-glare, UV-blocking laminate finish, that prevents it from any fading and water damage, and from the back being adhered with conventional acid-free dry mounting tissue, that helps creating an acid-free barrier in between the fiberboard and the print.

The Block Mounting is the most economical of the three as the mounting is done on a solid smooth MDF particle board about 3/8” thick with a taped beveled edge and very good way for displaying posters.

The Float Mounting is done on a thinner board supported by thick in-set rails from the back with a taped beveled edge. Being lightweight, it is good for large items. The Float Mounted items leave a shadow on the wall giving a lovely floating effect and so the name.

The Flush Mounting usually has a 7/8” eye-catching thick-taped silhouette with a pleasant broad bevel. Being light, recommended for large items with an all around good support and assortment of existing colors.

Block Mounting Melbourne is good for displaying all types of photographic and other printed-paper but not for fabrics. Photographers, the retail, and commercial industry to display - Artwork Advertising, and Signage, normally use Block Mounting. Being longer lasting and declines to demounting prematurely.
